Join us for the Lapland winter season 2026-2027! We are looking for experienced à la carte chefs and à la carte waiters for our partner restaurants in different parts of Lapland. Every winter, around a million tourists from all over the world arrive in Lapland, which creates a strong need for professional restaurant teams that offer high-quality food and service in a busy work environment. The winter season is busy and fast-paced. You will work in a restaurant where efficiency, teamwork and quality are everyday life. The work takes place in an international environment and requires the ability to adapt to the winter conditions of Lapland. What kind of job is it? You will work either as an à la carte chef or as an à la carte waiter in a restaurant in Lapland. The job can be in a hotel restaurant, resort restaurant or a smaller independent restaurant in the capital of Lapland, Rovaniemi, or elsewhere in Lapland. The winter season is one of the busiest periods of the year, especially during Christmas, when customer numbers are at their highest. Duration of employment: Our goal is to find a suitable working period for you. The jobs start on a rolling basis in October-December and end in March-April. Some employees only work during the busiest Christmas season. Location: The jobs are located in different parts of Lapland: in cities, villages and tourist center areas. Some locations are livelier with services, while others are quieter and closer to nature. Locations include Rovaniemi, Levi, Ranua, Luosto, Ruka, Ylläs, Saariselkä, Utsjoki and Kemi. Working hours: A typical contract is 90-112.5 hours / 3 weeks, or about 30-37.5 hours per week on average. Salary: The salary is usually depending on the task and experience: • €13-20 / hour for cooks • €12-17 / hour for waiters In addition, TES-compliant bonuses are paid, such as double pay for Sundays and public holidays and evening and night shift bonuses. Accommodation: Accommodation is usually arranged by Bolt.Works or a client company. The options are typically shared accommodation or, if possible, a single room in shared facilities. Rent is usually €250-550 depending on location and accommodation. Work environment: The busiest periods are Christmas and the school winter holidays in February. The number of work shifts varies depending on seasonal demand. Lapland’s winter is cold, with temperatures typically varying between -5 °C and -30 °C, and the wind can make it feel colder. Work trips often include short walks outside in the freezing cold. Bring a friend: We try to arrange jobs in the same work location or area so that you can also share accommodation. We offer a referral bonus: €1 for every hour your friend works, up to 250 hours. You can refer as many friends as you want. The referral bonus is accrued when your friend gets a job at Bolt and you both work for us at the same time.
